Zagreb International Airport


In 2013, Groupe ADP and its partners, within the framework of a private-public partnership, took on the management of Franjo-Tudman Airport, in Zagreb (Croatia). 



Groupe ADP (21% of the capital), TAV Airports (15%), Bouygues Bâtiment International (21%), IFC-World Bank (17%), the Marguerite investment fund (21%) and the Croatian construction company Viadukt (5%) are part of a consortium led by MZLZ, which manages the operation of the airport for the entire duration of the concession (30 years).

As such, a new terminal has been financed, built and commissioned in 2017, replacing the old one. It will be gradually extended over the coming years to keep pace with traffic growth.



Note that the transfer of activity from the old to the new terminal is emblematic of Groupe ADP's expertise: successfully carried out overnight thanks to the methodical steering of Groupe ADP teams who developed an ORAT (Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer).

Showcase of Croatia, this medium-sized airport has a capacity of 5 million passengers per year and offers 30 check-in counters, 8 footbridges and more than 2,000 m2 of shops.

Within MZLZ, a team of experts from Groupe ADP, TAV Airports and Bouygues manages day-to-day airport operations and ensures the development of the airport, its new destinations (through a Route Development policy), its shops, its car parks, etc.




This concession has been a success story up to now: the airport's operations have been extensively restructured, 15 new destinations have been created since the concession was taken over and the quality of service has improved, as evidenced by the ASQ (Airport Service Quality) Awards for "Best Airport in Europe" given by the ACI (Airport Council International) in the category of airports handling between 2 and 5 million passengers per year, for the third consecutive year.
