Coulommiers Aerodrome is located in the Seine-et-Marne administrative departement, 5 km from Coulommiers, close to the parish of Mouroux and 55 km to the east of Paris.
History
Coulommiers Aerodrome was created in 1938 for the French army but it was initially occupied by the Germans.
In November 1947, the land was given to the French authorities and as from January 1947 a number of decisions were taken regarding the needs of light aircraft and air transport.
In 1949, Paris Aéroport became the property manager of Coulommiers aerodrome.
Activities
Coulommiers Aerodrome is widely known as it regularly plays host to the 'Meeting aérien de France'. It is used for short-haul services and a number of medium- and even long-haul services made up of short legs. Today, it hosts flying and gliding enthusiasts as well as tourists.
