Living Paris: experience the life of the capital city

Quelque Part: Gourmet showcase

The boutique-pâtisserie Quelque Part... La Matière is a temple to sensory delights. A feast for the eyes with pastries displayed like sweet jewels in an ebony case. Upstairs, the taste buds delight in exquisite cakes each more creative than the next. We love the lemon meringue-thyme tart (€45 for 6), a testament to the skillful use of meticulously sourced ingredients.

48, rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009 Paris.

Pixels

An explosion of digital shapes and colours, like a waking dream in a psychedelic space or a playground for the senses that dazzles and surprises. A new exhibition by virtual art pioneer Miguel Chevalier immerses visitors in a world of perpetual fusion, where pixels become living, hypnotic and tangible. The installations, videos, 3D sculptures and lightworks invite the public to interact and become creators themselves. A futuristic plunge into the heart of new technologies.

Grand Palais immersif

Christofle, a brillant story

Since the 1830s, Maison Christofle has been a leader in French luxury, from the splendour of its tableware found in the great restaurants to everyday objects. This splendid exhibition assembles 600 pieces by the luxury house, including monumental vases and furniture, illustrating Christofle’s mastery of silver, gold and enamel. MAD takes you behind the scenes to discover bespoke creations for the likes of the Ritz, the Orient Express and the Concorde.
