Meaux Aerodrome is located in the Seine-et-Marne administrative departement, 5 km south-west of the town of Meaux and 55 km from Paris.

History

Meaux Aerodrome was created in 1937 and taken over by the military just before the Second World War.

Like many other aerodromes, it was used to train young foreign Republican pilots who came here to learn to fly before returning home.
 
It was opened to public air traffic on 6 February 1947.

Activities

Meaux is a small aerodrome that is used by light aircraft.  It is also the home of France's oldest flying club.

The aerodrome offers several different activities such as, flying training, aerial sports, tourism and certain short-haul services.
