Paris has always been a place of creative effervescence, that why Paris Airport offers cultural exhibitions deployed in all its terminals. Photographs, sculptures and original works of art punctuate the passenger journey through the Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports.



 


 

Happening now: Le sport à la parisienne



To mark this great Olympic year, Paris Aéroport has invited the illustrator collective The Parisianer to exhibit a series of posters that humorously depict sport in the everyday life of Parisians. From sunrise to sunset, passengers are invited to immerse themselves in the hustle and bustle of a typically Parisian day, through illustrations that take an offbeat look at each moment of a Parisian's day. A unique opportunity to discover another facet of sport and the capital! Discover at Roisspôle station (access via CDGVAL)

Archisable

Archisable is an ephemeral project made up of works by some sixty renowned architects, invited by Tina Bloch to the beach at Deauville to create works using sand, seawater and simple tools like buckets, spades and rakes.

Entre Terre et Mer

To ensure the safety of French citizens, the French Navy works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on all the world's seas. From territorial waters to vast oceans, it carries out defence and security missions to protect maritime approaches and national interests. The Charles de Gaulle is a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and the first and only surface combatant built in Western Europe.

Paris Aéroport invites its passengers to explore the photographs shot by Thierry Bouët. This artist has walked the streets of the French capital's twenty arrondissements, photographing the number 1 on each street.

Parcours d'un génie

This exhibition highlights the genius of master sculptor Rodin. Each window leads us to a new series of works, sharing another aspect of his existence. It's a journey through the artist's life, into his private garden. Quotations help us discover who he was, what he loved and what he believed in. Slowly but surely, we get to know him by observing the various facets of his personality.

Ballade de Paris

Through this exhibition, Paris Aéroport transports us into a fantasy world of Paris and its heritage. The walls of Terminal 1 are adorned with works by Jean-François Rauzier, who makes surrealist use of Parisian architectural references, offering passengers a fresh, poetic and unique vision of the capital's heritage.

Paris Aéroport has given 20 contemporary artists from the bold new generation of French illustrators unlimited freedom to present their view of Paris from their windows. This exhibition is an opportunity for passengers at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to take a guided tour through the iconic, idyllic, cultural, romantic, gourmet and sometimes even secret side of Paris.

Ateliers d'artistes

Discover the most beautiful studio museums of famous and remarkable Parisian artists: the homes of Balzac and Victor Hugo, the Bourdelle Museum, the Zadkine Museum and the literary Musée de la Vie Romantique. A photographic triptych that acts as a 'gateway' to the studio, whereby a large display invites guests to visit and walk around the interiors of these artists' homes. An exhibition in partnership with Paris Musées.

Exposition Chantilly 

Chantilly, secrète splendeur

Paris Aéroport celebrates the "Château de Chantilly" and presents the exhibition “Chantilly, secrète splendeur". Through emblematic photographs and a colorful scenography, Chantilly's elegance is revealed in five themes: its Middle Ages castles, its magnificent gardens, its stables considered to be the largest in Europe, and its paintings considered as the Renaissance masterpieces. A unique immersion in the French art of living. Discover it as soon as you arrive at Terminal 2E, Gates L.

The Parisianer 2050

Paris Aéroport presents a collection of 52 illustrations that focus on the Paris of the future. In 2050, will a Paris-Tokyo flight take 15 minutes? Will we speak the same language? Will you be able to marry software? Will Parisians live to be 150 years old? The Parisianer 2050 has given international illustrators the chance to imagine what cities, and Paris in particular, will look like in the future. The artists take us on a journey through a multitude of potential futures and reveal a panorama of utopian, realistic, poetic and even critical visions expressed in their futuristic magazine covers.

In partnership with the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, Paris Airport welcomes the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac for a captivating exhibition. Travel to the four corners of the world with the "Regards Croisés" exhibition at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Be enchanted by the timeless beauty of the museum's statues and masks.

In partnership with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, Paris Aéroport presents 12 iconic French monuments recognised for their architectural diversity. A colourful and striking pop exhibition that focuses on the unexpected, unusual and remarkable details of the monuments, displayed against carefully chosen vivid backgrounds.

At Paris-Orly, Orly 1

Exposition-Orsay 

À l'heure d'Orsay

In partnership with the Musée d'Orsay, Paris Aéroport presents the exhibition “À l'heure d'Orsay”. Twelve paintings by Impressionist masters such as Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir and Degas are highlighted by a scenography inspired by the museum's architecture, creating an immersive and elegant journey between art and heritage. Discover it as soon as you arrive at Orly 1.

Hipster 

Hipsters in Stone

Paris Aéroport invites you to take a stroll past statues of Greco-Roman deities restyled by artist Léo Caillard. Using lenticular printing techniques, the exhibition summons passengers on an extraordinary journey of art. As you walk past them, the images in this exhibition come to life, first showing the statues in their nude form and then dressed in current fashion, leading visitors to question their perceptions of the past and the present. Discover Artemis, Venus or Apollo as hipsters, wearing a pair of jeans, a dress or a colourful floral top with sunglasses. A quirky pop art take on classical statues.

At Paris-Orly, Orly 4

Les couleurs de la mode

Displaying costumes, accessories and sketches reflecting past eras and trends, Paris Aéroport is putting fashion in the spotlight. With one of the most exquisite collections in the world, Paris’ Fashion Museum the Palais Galliera now boasts no fewer than 275,000 items reflecting the evolution of fashion in France from the 18th century to the present day. A collection as precious as it is fragile, waiting to be (re)discovered.

Mac-Val-orly 

Mac Val

Paris Aéroport has invited MAC VAL, the Val-de-Marne Contemporary Art Museum, to exhibit a selection of reproductions within the airport to give the illusion that visitors are inside the museum itself. Enjoy, for the first or fortieth time, iconic works by internationally-renowned contemporary artists and young creative talents. A unique art experience to be found at Paris-Orly in the public corridor between Orly 3 and Orly 4.

Le nuancier de Versailles

In partnership with the Château de Versailles, Paris Aéroport is showcasing 16 works using a palette of colours from the Versailles period: canary yellow, parrot green, salmon pink and crimson red.
