Paris Aéroport makes accessibility a priority

Prepare for your flight and move independently around our terminals by following our advice and discovering all of the adapted services available at our airports. Whether at Paris-Charles de Gaulle or Paris-Orly, disabled persons and people with reduced mobility (PRM), or any person with temporary or permanent mobility issues, can get around the terminals with ease thanks to the layout of our facilities and the dedicated lanes at checkpoints.  


Important information


Be prepared and arrive early: please arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your short- or medium-haul flight (3 hours before a long-haul flight) before your flight's departure time. To save time, consider checking in online with your airline.
 

picto-bagages-preparerIf you are carrying a medical device: this equipment, just like other baggage, must be reported or checked in.  only the airline can inform you about the terms and conditions for transporting your medical devices. Please check with your company.


picto-adminsitration-papierYour health condition requires you to take medication: bring your doctor’s prescription confirming your current treatment/medication. You may be asked for it when you pass through security control. 


If your are travelling with your own wheelchair: contact your airline for the terms and conditions for transporting your equipment on board the aircraft. You will have priority at security and border control. When it’s time to board, the airline you are travelling with will collect your wheelchair just before you board the aircraft. On arrival, you will collect your wheelchair upon exiting the aircraft. This process depends on the terminal of departure.

Are you coming by car?


Puce-Orange  Where to be dropped off?
Drivers can stop free of charge for a maximum of 10 minutes (beyond that, a fee will be charged) at the drop-off areas located near the entrance to each terminal at Paris-CDG and Paris-Orly. Parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities are also available upon presentation of a CMI card with the word “parking” on it. Please note that in most of our car parks, the maximum vehicle height is 1.90 m.

Puce-Orange  Where to park?
If you want to leave your car at the airport (for more than 10 minutes and up to several days), we recommend that you use one of the car parks close to terminals at Paris-CDG or Paris-Orly. On each level, you will find disabled parking spaces, available upon presentation of one of the following badges: GIC, GIG or CMI that mention the word “parking”. Please note that in most of our car parks, the maximum vehicle height is 1.90 m.

Puce-Orange  Am I entitled to a parking discount?
If you are the holder of a CMI card with the word “parking” on it, you are entitled to a 50% reduction at all of the car parks at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports (except reservation or on the ticket rate).

Arriving by taxi?


All taxis will drop you off in the immediate vicinity of the terminals.

Taxi PMR (text in french) is a dedicated Parisian taxi service for people with reduced mobility for journeys within the Ile-de-France region.

Similarly, G7 taxis offer an Access service, which provides wheelchair accessible vehicles, such as vans, equipped with an access ramp.

Several other taxi and private hire companies offer the same type of service. Do not hesitate to ask before booking.

Being dropped off by specialist transport company?


All companies specialising in the transportation of people with reduced mobility (PRM) will drop you off in the immediate vicinity of the terminals. These companies offer transport to Paris-CDG and Paris-Orly in vehicles equipped with access ramps, anchor points and safety belts. We recommend that you book your vehicle a few days before your departure, especially if you are travelling at the weekend. Do not hesitate to ask about pricing before booking.

Puce-Orange  Special fares: you or your companion may be entitled to a discount or even free travel, depending on your situation and upon presentation of your CMI card mentioning the word “invalidité” (disability).

Infrastructure and priority lanes

From equipment to adapted services, Paris Aéroport will support you and facilitate your movement and time spent within our terminals.

Priority access


Holders of a CMI card mentioning the word Invalidité or Priorité can use the priority lanes at security and border control.

People travelling with their own wheelchair or using a self-service wheelchair can also use the priority lanes.

Adapted shuttles


Puce-Orange  CDGVAL: free automatic metro serving all terminals at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (Terminals 1, 3, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2G), the SNCF stations (RER B and TGV), Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV stations, the Roissypole bus station, the PR and PX car parks as well as the airport hotels.

Puce-Orange  Orlyval: free automatic metro serving all of Paris-Orly Airport links the Antony RER station to Paris-Orly Airport. Special rates are available.


Puce-Orange  LISA: free automatic metro linking the three Terminal 2E boarding gates at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (gates K, L and M).

Adapted infrastructures



Puce-Orange  Changing rooms: safe, comfortable and private areas are available for private care or changing. They are specially equipped with a changing table for adults, a patient lift, an electric washbasin, grab bars and a presence and fall detection sensor to meet the needs of passengers with special requirements. Available only at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, in Terminal 1 (level 11), on the departure and arrival levels, in Terminal 2BD (near the lifts after security controls), in Terminal 2E, gates L, after security controls (opposite the prayer area). At Paris-Orly, in Orly 4, first floor level, gate 45D near the Mobility Assistance service.
Puce-Orange  Adapted directional signage: colour coding and visible pictograms are used in our airports to help you find your way around.

Puce-Orange  Reserved areas: ddedicated waiting areas, marked on the ground, are available in most terminals in the boarding areas and baggage reclaim.

Puce-Orange  PRM-friendly toilets and nurseries: our toilet facilities offer toilets that meet the latest standards (required manoeuvring space in front of and in the cubicles, grab bars, raised and easy-to-reach accessories, etc.).

Puce-Orange  Special seating in the boarding lounges: every boarding lounge has raised seats, recognisable by the pictograms on the back of the seats.

Self-service wheelchairs

We have self-service wheelchairs available for those preferring to move around our terminals independently*. Make sure your travelling companion is able to push your chair. 

*Service not available in Terminals 1 and 2G at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

  • Please visit the Mobility Assistance service in your departure terminal, who will provide you with advice and the best route to your boarding gate.

  • Move at your own pace in your wheelchair. Be sure to check your flight information on the screens along the way.

  • Benefit from priority lanes at security and border control.

  • Make the most of the shops and services after security. Our shops, bars and restaurants are all wheelchair friendly.

  • Let staff at the boarding gate know you’ve arrived as soon as possible. Before boarding, simply leave your wheelchair at the gate and walk to the aircraft.
