The Sunflower cord for invisible disabilities

Paris Airport acknowledges the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower and joins the program to better serve passengers with disabilities and especially to support travelers with invisible disabilities.

If you or someone you're traveling with has an invisible disability, such as autism spectrum disorder, diabetes, chronic pain, visual impairment, hearing loss, dementia, anxiety disorder or many others, you can choose to wear the Sunflower lanyard at Paris Airport to discreetly inform staff that you may need a little extra attention, help or time during your journey.

Ever heard of the Sunflower lanyard? Wearing it allows a person with a non-visible disability to express a need for help, time and attention while traveling through an airport. Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle are among the airports where it is available.

Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports now offer the Tournesol cord for passengers with non-visible disabilities who request it. They can be purchased in the Mobility areas or by ordering it on the website: Hidden Disabilities Sunflower (hdsunflower.com).

This cord, which is free of charge, is not imposed in any way and is based on personal choice. Airport staff are trained to recognize and better understand invisible disabilities. As a result, our teams are able to support you as closely as possible throughout your journey. Wearing the Tournesol lanyard makes it possible to discreetly identify people who need more time and patience for airport procedures. 80% of disabilities are invisible.

Wearing a Tournesol cord at Paris Airport allows you to travel independently throughout the airport.

If, however, you need specific assistance, Paris Aéroport will accompany you for part or all of your journey.
